REVIEWS
I thought this book struck all the right chords. This is perfect for young kids who think they have it tough and are sometimes wondering who has it better than them. This was well-illustrated and well written a perfect little story.
Beautifully written and illustrated about a youngish emperor who is weary of his many pressing duties and wishes a different existence. He shares his concerns with a court wise man who offers a solution. The emperor is delighted with the idea and pushes to partake. Soon after he discovers what he thought was a great idea may not be as great an idea as he had initially thought. A good lesson!
It's a nice story about an emperor who wishes for a more simple life, but finds that all lives have complications.
This creative tale will teach its audience about appreciating what they have and who they are before making capricious decisions. The writing is good, and the illustrations are beautiful.
